Victor Niederhoffer: A Happy Thought
Had a friend who sold hospital affiliates and several other hospital companies at the high. Whenever I'd ask him how things were going he'd say "everythinggggs uppa xcept my widdlaaar".
Today I have 42 separate markets and individual stocks on my screen and all 42 are up and bunds, euro, and us bonds and crude and many others are at a 4 month high and stocks were at a 2 month low yesterday a very bad time to be short over the weekend with trend followers and other followers of fixed systems seeing their temporary overplus increase. How happy I am that I am only going against in several of these markets instead of my usual and that I don't have to see all these slow moving participants counting their profits and dancing with pretty women over the weekend this time.
