About Victor Niederhoffer

Dolphin Diner

Page 57 of the Nov. 8 National Enquirer, the only paper I read, contains a picture of salmon circling around schools of whitefish they're eating with dolphins circling the salmon eating them.

The picture brings to mind the dusk of nations of Max Nordeau or the beneficial beehive leading to the strong eating the weak, used as a set at the initial productions of Sondheim's "Sweeney Todd."

It also brings to mind the middling speculator trying to profit from the excesses of the weak day trader as the Big Boys, the Pros that E loves to talk about, or the Great Catastrophe of the Dynamic Expert cruise in the wings with dignity awaiting their rightful share of what's left.

Sort of like the wicked witch in Hansel and Gretel, an appropriate thought for tonight.
