James Sogi: Fishing for a Fill
Sometimes I look down at my bait in the clear water and see the fish swimming around stealing my bait, but not biting the hook.
Nibble nibble, but no bite.
I jiggle the hook to attract them.
The fish are too smart.
Soon the fish tire of stealing my bait and my bait runs out, and the fish swim off.
In the market, I have my bid sitting there... nibble nibble, market comes close, but no bite, no fill.
I jiggle the bid a bit.
Soon the market goes off without me.
I feel like just jumping in after them but I sense big sharks in the depths, and know its too dangerous to chase.
So I go home hungry for the day..
